Minimalism:   What it is??

However, minimalism is not just a concept that always helps us to reorganize our home easily and lives in a more effective and aesthetically pleasing manner. In fact, minimalism can be a helpful way to overcome mental illness, anxiety, schizophrenia, and back.

There are so many people around world preferring minimalism . In fact there is no reason to be minimalism. Living a minimalist life means to get rid of all the dross that accumulated in your life. It means to eliminate the unessential things from your life. Doing so will help you to make room in your life for things, people, and experiences that add true value to your life. It feels liberating to finally have made the decision to become a minimalist.   So today I’m going to share some of few reasons for why should you opt for being minimalist.

  • LESS STRESS: When your environment is cluttered and chaotic you get more stressed.

  • MORE FREEDOM:  And yes of course you get more time and more energy. The freedom and flexibility you gain from minimalism looks different for all of us.  Maybe it means you can work fewer hours because you don’t spend as much money anymore. Maybe you travel more once you are unburdened and no longer weighed down by so much stuff.

  • MORE PEACE OF MIND: When we cling onto material possessions we create stress because we are always afraid of losing these things. By simplifying your life you can lose your attachment to these things and ultimately create a calm, peaceful mind.

The less things you have to worry about, the more peace you have, and it’s as simple as that

  • MORE HAPPINESS:  When De-cluttering your life, happiness naturally comes because you gravitate towards the things that matter most. You see clearly the false promises in all the clutter, it’s like a broken shield against life’s true essence. You will also find happiness in being more efficient, you will find concentration by having refocused your priorities, you will find joy by enjoying slowing down.

  • PEACE AND CLARITY: Your living and/or office space, you are doing the same for your mind. Minimalist environments are peaceful, allowing us not to be overstimulated.

Over stimulation is an enemy of mindfulness, as one cannot think clearly when we are bombarded with sensory information.

What is more, an abundance of stimuli cluttering up our homes or offices means that there are plenty of visual cues that can trigger thoughts or memories. And while that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it can be hell for someone dealing with mental illness.

Overstimulation caused by too much “stuff” might even trigger schizophrenic episodes in someone that is prone to them.

Thus, a minimalist approach eases this problem and makes way for a life of peace and clarity.

Moreover here are some more reasons to be minimalist:

  • Little things make you happy.
  • More respect for people.
  • Success at an early age.
  • Always smiling.
  • More money.
